Privacy

Short version: we see small previews of your media for as long as it takes to describe them, and then we delete them.

What we receive

The CLI, web app and DiskPush plugin shrink each photo to a preview (at most 768 pixels on the long side) before uploading it. Videos become a single contact sheet of frames. If a client sends a larger image, the server shrinks it before storing anything. Every preview is re-encoded, which removes EXIF data, including location. Along with the preview we receive the file name and its path inside the folder you scanned.

What we keep

Previews are deleted as soon as a file is described, or when it fails for good. We keep the description, tags, folder and file name so you can search and export them, until you delete the scan or your account.

Who else sees it

Standard scans run on GPUs we operate. Premium scans send the preview to Anthropic (Claude). Bring-your-own-key scans send it to the provider you connected. Your own provider keys are stored encrypted and used only for your scans.

Accounts

Sign-in is by emailed link or passkey. We store your email address and never sell or share it.
